Membership Renewal Begins July 1: For our returning members, we are so excited to welcome you back for another year of community service, educational experiences, and fun with new friends. Registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens on July 1, 2025. On July 1, your parent/guardian will receive an email with instructions on how to renew your membership. Should they not receive an email from No_Reply@VolunteerMatrix.com by 12pm on July 1, please have them email ebyouthcouncil@eastbrunswick.org, and we will resend them the email. If a relative or friend is looking to enroll in Youth Council, they can do so beginning on July 1.
Annual Volunteer Orientation: New for the upcoming school year, all Youth Council members must complete the Annual Volunteer Orientation (AVO) before they can volunteer or sign up for any Youth Council program. AVO is a qualification that permits or prohibits volunteers from signing up for events. It is designed to make sure you are fully informed about the Youth Council’s policies and procedures. You can complete the AVO training by logging into your account, clicking the “My Profile, Schedule, Hours, etc.” tab, then clicking on “My Orientations/Trainings.” After you have successfully completed the training and paid your membership dues, you will be able to sign up for events on the Volunteer Matrix calendar.
Community Announcements:
- Middlesex County Youth Conservation Corps: The Middlesex County Youth Conservation Corps is now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 Youth Conservation Corps program. The Middlesex County Youth Conservation Corps is a team of individuals, ages 16 and up, who carry out various projects in the County’s Open Space land parcels. The program is on Saturdays, from September 20 – November 15, 2025, from 9 am – 4 pm. The application is due Monday, August 4, 2025. To apply, please email a cover letter and resume cover letter and resume to Julia.Derosso@co.middlesex.nj.us or mail to Middlesex County Office of Parks and Recreation ATTN: Julia DeRosso 1030 River Road Piscataway, NJ 08854. - Change in Dues: Beginning on July 1, 2025, the membership dues for East Brunswick Youth Council will be $40 per member. This is a one-time fee that a parent/guardian pays once a year. We appreciate your anticipated cooperation.
- Back to School Social – Youth Center Open House: Enjoy free ice cream at the Youth Center with your friends as we cherish the last week of summer before school starts. Sign up on Volunteer Matrix starting on August 3rd!
