Beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, Huntsville Utilities will temporarily close the intersection of Balch Road and Gooch Lane to perform equipment maintenance. The closure is expected to remain in effect until 4:30 a.m. on Thursday July 2.

Law enforcement officers will be on site to manage traffic throughout the closure. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through the intersection if needed.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes whenever possible to minimize delays. If you must travel through the area, please use extreme caution, follow all traffic control directions, and be prepared for changing traffic patterns and possible delays as crews work.
