Santa Rosa Police Department Releases 2025 Annual Report
The Santa Rosa Police Department (SRPD) is pleased to announce the publication of its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting the department’s efforts to enhance public safety, strengthen community partnerships, and provide exceptional service to the residents of Santa Rosa.
The report reflects a year of dedicated service by SRPD employees. In 2025, the Communications Center received nearly 180,000 calls for service, with 71% resolved by dispatch personnel without requiring an officer response. The department also handled more than 111,000 dispatched and proactive events throughout the city.
Among the year’s notable achievements, Priority 1 emergency response times improved by 5%, while several key crime categories declined, including robberies, motor vehicle thefts, and juvenile arrests. Officers also removed more than 320 firearms from the community, including over 100 ghost guns.
The report also acknowledges ongoing public safety challenges, including increases in homeless-related calls for service, injury and fatal traffic collisions, and homicides. SRPD remains committed to addressing these issues through proactive policing, strong partnerships, and thorough investigations.
“While we are encouraged by many positive trends, we recognize there is still work to be done,” said Chief John Cregan. “The accomplishments highlighted in this report reflect the professionalism and dedication of our employees and the continued support of our community. Together, we will continue working to keep Santa Rosa safe.”
