Aquatic weed management efforts in Duck Lake and the Canal System are scheduled to take place between the weeks of May 11 - October 30th . Three to five days of treatment are anticipated. Treatments will not take place on the weekends or holidays. 

Treatment will include the use of aquatic herbicides to help control excessive weed growth and maintain the health of the waterways.

Glyphosate Will Not Be Used
While Glyphosate is approved for use in State Waters by the Washington Department of Ecology, the City of Ocean Shores and the applicator, AquaTechnex, will not be applying this product in the 2026 treatment program.
