PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE CITY OF CEDAR SPRINGS
NOTICE OF ORDINANCE ADOPTION

At their regular meeting held on August 13, 2026, the Cedar Springs City Council adopted Ordinance #261, which amended Chapter 28 of the Cedar Springs Code of Ordinance to add a new Article VI entitled “Trucking Routes.”
The ordinance provides new definitions related to trucks and trucking routes; provides for exemptions from the ordinance; states that the City Council may by resolution designate streets and highways as trucking routes or restricted routes within the City; provides for temporary trucking routes; addresses permits and emergencies; and provides for violations and enforcement. The ordinance is deemed to be severable. 
Ordinance 261 will become effective on September 2, 2026.
