Please take notice that the City of Cedar Springs City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Cedar Springs City Council Chambers at City Hall, 130 W. Muskegon Street*, Cedar Springs, MI 49319, for the purpose of receiving public comments on the following proposed amendment to the Cedar Springs code of Ordinances:
Truck Route Ordinance. A new Article VI of Chapter 28 of the City of Cedar Springs Code of Ordinances titled “Trucking Routes” is proposed. The proposed ordinance contains legislative findings, definitions, provides for exemptions, allows for the designation of trucking routes by resolution, includes regulations for temporary trucking routes and signage, allows for permits and emergencies, and contains violation and enforcement standards.
Persons are invited to attend this meeting in-person or virtually. Virtual meeting information can be found at www.cityofcedarsprings.org.  Written comments will be received from any interested persons by the Cedar Springs City Clerk at Cedar Springs City Hall during regular business hours up to the time of the hearing, and may be further received at the hearing. Oral comments will be taken at the meeting.
A copy of the Cedar Springs Code of Ordinances is available for review at the Cedar Springs City Hall during regular business hours, or online at www.cityofcedarsprings.org
If you are unable to attend the public hearing, but wish to have your comments become a part of the official record of the meeting, please submit them in writing to the City Manager at manager@cityofcedarsprings.org, the above address, or contact City Hall at 616.696.1330.
This notice is posted in compliance with PA 267 of 1976 as amended (Open Meetings Act) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  The City of Cedar Springs will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and printed material being considered at the hearing, to individuals with disabilities at the hearing upon seven (7) days' notice to the Cedar Springs City Clerk at the address or telephone number listed in this notice.
