On Saturday, July 25th, 2026, just prior to 5:00pm, the Sheboygan Police Department responded to the intersection of S. 25th Street and Broadway Ave for a crash involving a sedan and an e-bike. The operator of the e-bike, a 14-year-old male visiting from the Beloit area, was transported from the scene by Sheboygan Fire Department ambulance to an area hospital. He died shortly after arriving at the hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.The involved vehicle was operated by a 25-year-old male from Sheboygan, who was not injured. The vehicle and operator remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Utilizing evidence and statements from several witnesses, officers determined the 14-year-old e-bike operator was southbound on S. 25th Street and failed to stop for the stop sign at Broadway Ave. before entering the path of the sedan, which was westbound on Broadway Ave. The e-bike was then struck by the sedan.
The Sheboygan Police Department is thankful for witnesses in the area who assisted in our investigation and asks that the involved families be given privacy in this difficult time.
