EEE Virus Detected in Belchertown

The Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) virus has been detected in mosquitoes collected in Belchertown. This is the first confirmed case of EEE in Massachusetts in 2025. The mosquito sample was collected on July 21 in Belchertown.
