Battle Creek Central Homecoming Parade road closures planned Friday evening

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. —
Drivers should plan for temporary road closures in downtown Battle Creek and the Battle Creek Central area Friday evening, Sept. 25, for the Battle Creek Central High School Homecoming Parade.
The Battle Creek Police Department will begin temporary road closures along the parade route at 5:10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25. The parade is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
The parade route will travel from the Miller Stone parking lot, south on North Avenue, west on Van Buren Street, north on United Way, and east on Champion Street to the stadium parking lot.
The following temporary closures are planned:
- Southbound North Avenue at Calhoun Street
- Westbound Frelinghuysen Avenue at North Avenue
- Westbound Capital Avenue at North Avenue
- Westbound Michigan Avenue at Division Street
- Northbound Capital Avenue NE at Van Buren Street
- Westbound Van Buren Street at Capital Avenue NE
- Eastbound Van Buren Street at United Way
- Eastbound Champion Street at United Way
- Southbound West Street at Garfield Avenue
- Westbound Calhoun Street at College Street
- Westbound Calhoun Street at Glenwood Avenue
- Westbound Calhoun Street at Eagle Street
Drivers should use alternate routes and expect delays while the parade is underway. Roads will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so after the parade passes.
