BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Families from across Calhoun County are invited to connect with local organizations, explore health and wellness resources, and learn more about lead poisoning prevention at the Calhoun County Children's Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, Oct. 10.

The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Full Blast Recreation Center, 35 W Hamblin Ave.

The fair is part of the City of Battle Creek's ongoing lead poisoning prevention public education campaign. The event is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Lead Hazard Reduction Program, administered by the city's Community Development Division.

The event is being held in partnership with the Calhoun County Public Health Department and Community Action.

Families attending the fair will have the opportunity to connect with organizations that serve children and families, learn about health and wellness programs available throughout the community, and access information about lead poisoning prevention resources and services.
