BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City crews are repairing a water main break and have closed the intersection of Post Ave and Vale St., while work is underway.

The following locations are affected by a water shut off while repairs are underway:

On Post Ave between Caine St & James St
On Vale St between Columbia Ave E & Post Ave

• What should I do?

• Expect water service to be off until approximately 6pm
• Avoid the work area and follow posted detours.
• When water returns, you may temporarily experience low water pressure or discolored water. Run cold water until it clears.
• If a boil water advisory is issued, you will receive that notice separately.

Crews are isolating the break, completing repairs, flushing the water system, and restoring pressure. We will provide updates if the situation changes.
