Police arrest five, seize narcotics in Magner Street search

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Battle Creek Police arrested five individuals and seized narcotics during a search of a Magner Street residence that had drawn community concern for ongoing activity. Officers found nine subjects inside the home, and the property was later condemned by Code Compliance.
The operation began around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, when officers from the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Division executed a search warrant at a residence in the first block of Magner Street. The warrant was obtained after reports from concerned citizens about subjects frequently coming and going from the property.
Five subjects were arrested on outstanding warrants, and a small amount of narcotics was recovered. The COPS Division was assisted by the Emergency Response Team, Special Investigations Unit, Fusion Center, and the Crime Lab.
