Water main break closes portion of Webber Street through Saturday evening

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City crews are responding to a water main break on Webber Street that impacts traffic and water service.

Webber Street is closed to through traffic between Washington Avenue South and 55 Webber Street. Access to impacted driveways on Webber Street will be maintained from Capital Avenue SW.

Water service is temporarily shut off on Webber Street between Washington Avenue South and Capital Avenue SW while repairs are underway.

Crews expect repairs to take a couple of hours, with water service restored by 4 p.m., though unforeseen conditions may extend the timeline. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The city appreciates the public’s patience as crews work to complete repairs safely and as quickly as possible.
