BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City water crews will complete repair work on a water leak along 20th Street South, resulting in a temporary lane shift, tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 23.

The temporary lane shift will be in place, as follows, along 20th Street South, between Territorial Road West and Iroquois Avenue:

  • Northbound traffic will be shifted to the southbound lane closest to the center turn lane
  • Southbound traffic will be shifted to the southbound lane closest to the side of the roadway

While there are no expected complete road closures during this work, neighbors and motorists are reminded to be aware of crews and equipment in the area during work hours. There are no expected water shut offs during this work.

Crews plan to start this water leak repair work by 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, and expect to be completed by the end of the day, with the temporary lane shift ending then, too.

We appreciate our neighbors’ understanding and patience during all work to improve infrastructure across the City of Battle Creek.
