BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City field services crews will complete asphalt repair work along Van Buren Street East, resulting in a temporary road closure, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 21.

This asphalt repair work is needed following recent lead service line replacement work in this area. This is the second phase of repair work, following the first phase along Van Buren Street East, from Division Street North to Penn Street.

The temporary road closure will impact:

• Van Buren Street East, from Penn Street to Elm Street

While this section of Van Buren Street East will be closed to thru traffic, neighbors will still be able to get to and from their homes.

Crews expect to begin this asphalt repair work Tuesday, Oct. 21, and expect to be completed by Wednesday, Oct. 22. Work hours will generally be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
