BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — City water crews will work to repair a water leak in the roadway along Capital Avenue NE, resulting in a temporary lane shift, today, Thursday, Oct. 16.

The temporary lane shift will impact Capital Avenue NE, between Byron Street and Riverview Avenue, across from Piper Park as follows:

  • Southbound traffic on Capital Avenue NE will be shifted to the middle lane
  • No impact to northbound traffic on Capital Avenue NE

There are no expected complete road closures or water shut offs during this water leak repair work.

Crews plan to begin this water leak repair work by 7 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, and expect to be completed by the end of the day, with the temporary lane shift ending then, too.

We appreciate our neighbors’ understanding and patience during all work to improve infrastructure across the City of Battle Creek.
