BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Semco Energy Gas Company crews will complete work to both replace an existing gas main and connect a new section of gas main to existing service along Capital Avenue SW, resulting in a temporary lane closure, beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 3.

The temporary lane closure will be in place along Capital Avenue SW, as follows:

• Northbound lanes on Capital Avenue SW will be closed and northbound traffic will be redirected to the southbound lanes, from Liberty Street to just past the railroad tracks before Hamblin Avenue

There are no expected complete road closures during this gas main replacement and connection work.

Crews anticipate starting this project Wednesday, Sept. 3, and expect the work to be completed by Saturday, Sept. 6, with the temporary lane closure lifting then, as well.
