Message from The City of Panama City: Annual Fire Hydrant Maintenance

Starting Thursday, May 1, 2025, the Panama City Fire Department will begin its annual Spring Fire Hydrant Maintenance to ensure our hydrants are ready for emergencies and in top condition.
During this maintenance, crews will:
🚒 Clearing 36" around hydrants
🔧 Testing pressure and lubricating cap threads
💧 Flushing water to clear sediment
✅ Verifying proper function and drainage
🔷 Installing blue street markers where needed
📝 Documenting all work and reporting any defects for repair
Heads Up: You might notice temporary water discoloration during flushing—this is normal! Just run your tap for a few moments and it should clear right up.
