Panama City Alerts
Tropical Weather Update: October 7, 2026
The City of Panama City continues to monitor Tropical Storm Isaias and is actively making preparations for potential impacts to our community, including more heavy rainfall.
To ensure water is able to flow freely to storm drains, please continue to bag and properly dispose of yard clippings, and make sure leaves, branches, trash, and other items that could be blown or swept into storm drains are cleared away. If you find any storm drains or grates that are blocked, please report them to us by calling 850-691-4553 during normal business hours or 850-872-3112 after hours.
As part of our ongoing preparations, sandbags will be available for Panama City residents and businesses, with a limit of 10 sandbags per resident or business.
Sand, bags, and shovels for filling are available just east of the retention pond at 3404 W. 19th Street, near the Boys & Girls Club. City staff will be on site to assist with filling and loading.
Thursday: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to continue monitoring official weather updates and take the necessary precautions as conditions develop.
