City Traffic Alert – Road Closures & Updates 🚧

Please be aware of the following traffic changes related to ongoing construction projects:

Beach Drive & 4th Street – FULL INTERSECTION CLOSURE
🗓 Begins Monday, December 15, 2025

• The Beach Drive and 4th Street intersection will be fully closed
• Detour signs will be posted for eastbound and westbound traffic on Beach Drive
• Beach Drive from Mercer to 4th Street will now be a dead end
  • Access will remain open for:
    • Destination PC (front drop-off)
    • NoName (parking lot access)
  • A vehicle turnaround area will be provided

Park Avenue – NOW OPEN

• The Park Avenue closure has been lifted
• Park Avenue is 100% open to vehicle traffic
• This reopening is to help with pre-holiday traffic and downtown access

⚠️ Please Note:

• The current asphalt surface is temporary and only half of the final roadway
• Drivers should slow down
• Expect bumps, dips, and rough spots, which are more noticeable at higher speeds

Additional Construction Updates

• Luverne Ave (between 3rd Ct & 4th St) and 3rd Ct toward the Courthouse
  • Passable through the weekend and Monday morning
• 3rd Court (Luverne to Magnolia)
  • Partial closure continues this week
  • One lane open with reduced speeds
  • Flaggers will be directing traffic
