-Thursday garbage, recycling & yard waste will be serviced on Wednesday.
- Rome Transit (RTD) is closed.
- Walker Mountain Landfill is closed.

Fourth of July
City Administrative Offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th. 
- Garbage and recycling for Thursday and Friday will be serviced on Thursday, with no yard cart services.

Unity Point Project Update

Unity Point, part of the 2013 SPLOST initiative, is steadily taking shape at the scenic confluence of the rivers. As part of its environmentally conscious design, permeable pavers are being installed to allow rainwater to naturally filter through the ground. A thoughtfully planned rain garden filled with native plant species will capture and redirect runoff from the nearby parking lot—helping to reduce pollution and protect the health of our rivers.

Emergency Services Expo - Sat. June 21


Join us for the Emergency Services Expo at the East Rome Walmart on June 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

• Service friends from our community will be there as well with learning stations and equipment for demonstration.
• Emergency Management will have 50 weather radios that they will be give away to Floyd County residents. (Bring your photo government ID to show residency to receive one radio - while they last)
