Our friends at the Floyd County Police Department are hosting a Blood Assurance Blood Drive on Thursday, August 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Floyd County Police Headquarters, 5 Government Plaza, Suite 200.

If you're able to donate, your generosity could help save lives right here in our community. Blood Assurance reminds donors to:

• Eat a good meal before donating
• Drink extra water
• Bring a valid photo ID
• Avoid energy drinks before your appointment

As an added thank-you, everyone who donates blood during the month of August will receive a $25 eGift card.
