...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Washington...
Skagit River Near Concrete affecting Skagit County.
Skagit River Near Mt. Vernon affecting Skagit County.
.Heavy rain is returning to the area and will persist in the central
Cascades leading to Major or possibly record flooding if forecast
rainfall holds true. Focus of the heavy rainfall changes are
expected and this would impact the river forecasts and eventual
crests. River crests could be a little higher or lower and is in
the band of possible outcomes.
* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.
* WHERE...Skagit River near Mt. Vernon.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning to early Saturday afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 4:15 PM PST Tuesday the stage was 27.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 27.7 feet late this
evening. It will then fall to 26.7 feet late tonight. It will
rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to 41.5 feet
early Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
early Saturday morning.

Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
