Parks and Recreation Commissioner Applications Open

Residents interested in serving on the City of Chino Hills Parks and Recreation Commission are invited to apply for a position to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Commissioner Greg Higgins. The Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Chino Hills City Council Chambers to review issues related to parks, recreation, trails, community events, wildlife preservation, and programs. Applications are available now and must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office by 4:00 pm on Friday, April 10.
Each of the five Chino Hills City Council Members appoints one member to the Commission and is responsible for nominating a replacement when a vacancy occurs. Council Member Peter Rogers will review all applications and may schedule interviews. A nomination is expected to be made at the April 28 City Council Meeting, and all members of the City Council must affirm the appointment. Commissioners serve terms concurrently with their appointing Council Member and must reapply and be reappointed at the conclusion of that term. The selected individual will fill the remainder of the vacant term through November 2026.
Applications are available online at www.chinohills.org/ParksandRecCommissionApplication and at City Hall in the City Clerk’s Office. Completed applications may be submitted in person or by mail to: City Clerk’s Office, 14000 City Center Drive, Chino Hills, CA 91709. Emailed applications can be submitted to cityclerk@chinohills.org.
