| Captain Mark Brantl Sworn In as Post Falls Chief of Police |
| POST FALLS, Idaho - During the May 19 City Council meeting, Captain Mark Brantl was officially sworn in as the new Chief of Police for the City of Post Falls. |
| Chief Brantl brings nearly three decades of law enforcement experience to his new role, including more than 25 years of dedicated service with the Post Falls Police Department. His career reflects a deep commitment to public safety, leadership, and community policing. |
| A native of Great Falls, Montana, Chief Brantl began his career in 1995 as an Animal Control Officer in his hometown. He later attended North Idaho College, where he earned his degree in Law Enforcement. While completing his education, he also served as a Marine Deputy with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office. |

| A native of Great Falls, Montana, Chief Brantl began his career in 1995 as an Animal Control Officer in his hometown. | Chief Brantl joined the Post Falls Police Department in 1998 as a patrol officer and has since served in a wide range of assignments, including traffic unit officer, drug task force detective, Field Training Officer, Sergeant, SWAT Team Leader, and Firearms Instructor. His diverse experience and institutional knowledge have prepared him well to lead the department into the future. |
| “Chief Brantl has demonstrated a strong commitment to the community and the men and women of the Post Falls Police Department throughout his career,” said City Administrator Shelly Enderud. “We are confident in his leadership and vision as he steps into this important role.” |
| As Chief of Police, Brantl will oversee department operations, continue to build strong community partnerships, and guide the agency in delivering high-quality public safety services to the residents of Post Falls. |
