The watermain break has been fixed in Stanardsville and water is being restored to all customers. A Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for all customers west of the Tech Center to include all of Spotswood Trail business west of the intersection with the Bypass and all of the Town of Stanardsville County Water customers. This will be lifted once the testing is completed and will take several days. Boiling the water first before using it for drinking or cooking purposes. Failure to follow this advisory could result in stomach or intestinal illness. Bottled water is available at the old Rescue Squad building, 9845 Spotswood Trail, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until lifted by the utility.
