REMINDER: Tour of UMaine Advanced Composite Center Today
- No photos may be taken in the lab. There are cell phone lockers, and we ask that people lock their phones in one prior to entering the lab. In the event you must have your phone with you for emergencies, please do not take photos.
- A Composites Center employee must always accompany visitors.
- No food or drink is allowed in the lab.
- Visitors must wear provided safety glasses and hard hats at all times during their tour.
- Visitors should wear closed toe footwear. For your safety, we request no flip-flops or sandals while in the lab.
- Please refrain from bringing backpacks or other large bags on your tour, they may be left in the front office.
- Please wear clothing that protects from the neck to below the knees.
- Please do not handle any items in the lab unless directed by your tour guide.
REMINDER: The City Council and several Department Heads will tour the UMaine Advanced Composite Center today at noon. We will leave City Hall no later than 11:30am. The Center asked that the below information be sent to all who will be in attendance:
Thank you for your tour request. We have your group, Brewer City Staff, scheduled for a tour on Monday April 28th at 12 noon and are anticipating 12 people. Once we are three days from the tour date, we can no longer add any new people to the list.
Please be sure everyone of age has a photo ID with them. For groups larger than five people, we will simply take attendance. Everyone will receive a temporary badge for the duration of the tour, badges need to be returned to the Front Office before people leave.
Guests at the ASCC are asked to adhere to University of Maine's COVID policies.
We are a fully operational testing laboratory and require that all visitors note the following safety rules:
