Town Council to Appoint a Member to the Landmarks Preservation Commission

The Town of Palm Beach seeks applicants for the Landmarks Preservation Commission. All citizens interested in pursuing an appointment must complete the appropriate application for service and submit it to the Town Clerk’s Office by Friday, August 29, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The appointments will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

After a recent resignation, the Town of Palm Beach is seeking to appoint one (1) member to the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) to fill this position. This unexpired term will end on March 1, 2026, and will be considered a term 0.

This commission reviews and approves structural and landscape modifications to designated structures and properties. Members are appointed by the Town Council based on having, to the greatest extent practicable, a special knowledge of and a known interest in landmark preservation. Members of the Landmarks Preservation Commission shall be appointed for a three-year term and may serve no more than two consecutive terms.
