TOWN OF PALM BEACH – VESSEL ENFORCEMENT NOTICE
The Town of Palm Beach Police Department would like to remind residents and mariners that, following Town Council approval of an ordinance restricting vessels from anchoring within Town jurisdictional waters for more than 30 days and prohibiting illegal moorings, enforcement efforts are advancing.
The Palm Beach Police Department Marine Unit is transitioning from the initial phase of enforcement that identified and documented vessels within the Intracoastal Waterway that have remained anchored beyond the 30-day limit, as well as vessels that are illegally moored. Enforcement is now underway where the issuance of fines and vessel removal will begin as deemed necessary.
Mariners are encouraged to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations to avoid further enforcement and costly fees associated with police action.
