The Town of Palm Beach seeks applicants for the Retirement Board of Trustees and the Architectural Commission

The Town of Palm Beach is seeking applicants for two boards- the Retirement Board of Trustees (RBT) and the Architecture Commission(ARCOM). All citizens interested in pursuing an appointment must complete the appropriate application for service and submit it to the Town Clerk’s Office by Friday, February 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. The appointment will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. 

RETIREMENT BOARD OF TRUSTEES 

The Town seeks to appoint two trustees and one employee representative to the RBT. The terms will begin on April 1, 2026, and will end on March 31, 2029. Both trustees and one employee representative are eligible for reappointment. 

The Retirement Board of Trustees acts in a fiduciary capacity for the Town’s retirement funds and in an advisory capacity for the Town Council on matters relating to the administration of the Town’s various retirement plans. The Retirement Board of Trustees will meet at least quarterly.  


ARCHITECTURAL COMMISSION 

The Town seeks to appoint two regular members to the Architectural Commission. The terms will begin in March 2026 and will end on March 1, 2029. One member is eligible for reappointment. 

ARCOM reviews and approves modifications to existing structures visible from public rights-of-way, new construction, and landscaping. Members are appointed based on experience in art, architecture, community planning, land development, real estate, landscape architecture, or other relevant business, profession, or civic interest. Members of the ARCOM shall be appointed for a three-year term and may serve no more than two consecutive terms.
