Traffic Impacts for the Week of September 1-5, 2025
The Town of Palm Beach is advising residents and motorists of scheduled traffic impacts and road closures taking place the week of September 1-5, 2025.
South Ocean Boulevard at Sloan's Curve
On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the Town of Palm Beach Water Resource Division (WRD) will be performing scheduled maintenance on the sanitary sewer gravity main along South Ocean Boulevard at Sloan’s Curve.
To ensure the safety of both motorists and maintenance crews, a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plan will be in place. Work will begin at 8:30 AM and is expected to conclude by 3:00 PM. During this time, South Ocean Boulevard will be reduced to one (1) lane, and traffic will be managed by flagging personnel.

SR A1A/South Ocean Boulevard - Lake Avenue to Ibis Way
- Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2, one lane of SR A1A/S. Ocean Boulevard may be closed with a flagging operation to direct traffic, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Work is anticipated in the southbound lane of SR A1A/S. Ocean Boulevard between Ibis Way to south of Lake Avenue for work on the west side pedestrian pathway through Fall 2025. A temporary pedestrian detour route will be utilized as needed; please follow directional signage and proceed with caution through the work zone.
- Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2, one westbound lane of Lake Avenue, just west of the SR A1A intersection, may be closed as needed, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
SR A1A/South Ocean Boulevard from Emerald Beach Way to SR 704/Royal Palm Way
- Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2, one lane of SR A1A may be closed with a flagging operation to direct traffic, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2, paving operations with a flagging operation can be expected on SR A1A/S. Ocean Boulevard from just north of the SR 80/Southern Boulevard traffic circle (by Mar-a-Lago) to SR A1A/S. County Road (just north of Clarendon Avenue), 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, through September 2025. Please proceed with caution and allow extra travel time as needed.
- Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 2, paving operations with a flagging operation can be expected on SR A1A/S. County Road from S. Ocean Boulevard (just north of Clarendon Avenue) to north of Hammon Avenue/Golfview Road, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, through September 2025. Please proceed with caution and allow extra travel time as needed. Please note only one lane of SR A1A/S. County Road may be closed at a time.
- Seaspray Avenue, Seaview Avenue, Brazilian Avenue, and Chilean Avenue will have intermittent road closure due to overhead wreck out and pole removal.
- Canterbury Lane will be closed, local traffic only, due to conduit and equipment installation.
- Bradley Place between Everglade Avenue and Wells Road will have one lane closure due to horizontal directional drilling.
- Clarke Alley is going to be closed for reconstruction.
- Tuesday September 2nd, AT&T will be boring approximately 1100’ of underground cable reducing traffic to a single lane on North Lake Way between Via Marila and List Road. - Tuesday September 2nd, the southbound travel lane in front of 1820 South Ocean Boulevard will be reduced to a single lane for crane to install coconut palms. 1820 South Ocean Boulevard. ROW-25-04618
Milling and Resurfacing Paving Operations
Starting Tuesday, September 2, 2025, through Friday, September 5, 2025, the Town’s contractor will be performing milling and resurfacing paving operations as part of the Underground Paving 5N and 6N project along Via Marila and Osceola Way. During this time, traffic will be detoured, and roads will be closed to through traffic while work is underway. Access to residents’ homes on Osceola Way will be maintained at all times; however, Via Marila will not be accessible during the duration of work.
The ongoing drainage project along North County Road continues to impact traffic in the area. North County Road will be fully closed between Kawama Lane and Miraflores Road, with traffic detoured along those streets. Access to residents’ homes will be maintained at all times.
