Traffic Impacts for the Week of August 25 - 29, 2025
The Town of Palm Beach is advising residents and motorists of several scheduled traffic impacts and road closures taking place during the week of August 25–29, 2025.
North Lake Way will have a single lane closed on the morning of August 25 at 357 North Lake Way and on August 26 near 1255 North Lake Way.
Fiber optic network installation will begin on August 25 at the corner of Royal Palm Way and Hibiscus Avenue. This installation is expected to last five days and will continue south down Hibiscus Avenue and east on Australian Avenue, ending across South County Road at 345 South County Road.
SR A1A / South County Road Continued Traffic Impacts:
Lane Closures: One lane may be closed at a time with flagging operations, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through Summer 2025.
Northbound SR A1A/South County Road: Lane and sidewalk closures from South Ocean Boulevard (just north of Clarendon Avenue) to just south of Banyan Road may occur around-the-clock for sidewalk replacement and construction through August 2025.
- Northbound traffic on South Ocean Boulevard cannot turn left/west onto SR A1A/S. County Road during closures.
- Southbound lanes and all side streets remain open, with eastbound and westbound movements permitted on:
- Via Vizcaya
- Via Del Mar
- Via La Selva
Paving Operations:
- SR A1A/South Ocean Boulevard (near Mar-a-Lago to north of Clarendon Avenue) and SR A1A/South County Road (South Ocean Boulevard to north of Hammon Avenue/Golfview Road) may have flagging operations, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Thursday through August 2025.
- Northbound local traffic on South Ocean Boulevard will detour west on Banyan Road to access SR A1A/South County Road and side streets.
- South Ocean Boulevard north of Banyan Road remains open for motorists to access marked east-west connections to SR A1A/South County Road.
- Sidewalk and pedestrian access will be unavailable between SR A1A/South County Road and south of Banyan Road during construction.
- Southbound SR A1A/South County Road and all side streets remain open; local traffic may use southbound SR A1A/South County Road to access northbound South Ocean Boulevard.
Undergrounding & Horizontal Directional Drilling:
- PHASE 5 SOUTH:
- Seaspray to Seaview (South County to Ocean) – Road Closure Pending, Crane Setup
- Seaspray west end (west of Coconut) – Road Closure Pending, Crane Setup
- Four Arts Plaza surrounding area – Road Closure Pending, Crane Setup
- PHASE 7 SOUTH:
- Everglade Avenue from Bradley Place to Intracoastal – Road Closed, Local Traffic Only
- Bradley Place between Everglade Avenue and Dunbar – Upcoming Lane Closure, Traffic Maintained
- North County Road between Wells Road and Atlantic Avenue – Upcoming Lane Closure, Traffic Maintained
- Canterbury Lane between North County Road and East End – Road Closed, Local Traffic Only
- Canterbury Lane and cul-de-sac – Road Closed, Local Traffic Only
- PHASE 8:
- North County Road from Everglade Avenue south – Traffic Maintained
- Oleander between Bradley Place and North County – Traffic Maintained
- Park Avenue between Bradley Place and North County – Traffic Maintained
- Bradley Place between Sunset and Everglade – Traffic Maintained
- Intersection of Park Avenue and Bradley Place – Traffic Maintained
Milling and Resurfacing
Starting Monday, August 25, 2025, through Friday, August 29, 2025, the Town’s contractor will be performing milling and resurfacing paving operations as part of the Underground Paving 5N and 6N project along the following roads: Chateaux Road, Miraflores Drive, Polmer Park Road, and the 300 blocks of Via Linda and Cherry Lane. Traffic will be detoured and roads closed except to local traffic while work is underway. Access to residents’ homes will be maintained at all times.
The drainage project along North County Road continues to impact traffic. The southbound portion of North County Road will be closed between El Mirasol and Wells Road. Traffic will be detoured along Crescent Drive.
FPL contractors will be removing utility poles along Plantation Road and along South Lake Way between Kawama Lane and Miraflores Drive the week of August 25, 2025, through Friday, August 29, 2025.
