A Message from The Kennebec Water District
KWD will begin a water main replacement project on Main Street from Dunbar Court to Pleasant Street starting on Monday 10/26. During this work, access to Sanger Avenue and Dunbar Court will be closed or limited at Main Street. Harry J Smith Co. has agreed to allow access to Dunbar Court via the gravel driveway off Sanger Avenue. We would recommend anyone needing to access Sanger Avenue and Dunbar Court to do so from North Street.We will also be closing Pleasant Street from Main Street to the Kennebec Savings Bank entrance. During this time anyone needing to access this area of Pleasant Street should do so from North Street as the Main Street intersection will be totally blocked for the safety of the construction team.
Main Street will remain two lanes of traffic, with the lanes shifted to maneuver around the work zone.
We anticipate work to take three weeks to complete. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we look to complete this important project.
