Tree Lighting Parade & Ceremony
The Middletown Downtown Business Improvement District, in partnership with the City of Middletown, has created a standing tradition with the City of Middletown's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Parade and Ceremony that will take place tonight! Beginning in the area of 125 North Street, the parade will head to West Main Street and conclude at John F. Degnan Square for a ceremony involving a very special appearance from Santa to assist in lighting the tree. (See road closures below.)
Attendees can grab a bite to eat before joining us for the Tree Lighting by visiting any one of the great restaurants we have avalable Downtown. Check out our Downtown Dining Guide Here!
After the Tree Lighting, head over to the Erie Way Park Pavilion for the opening night of the City of Middletown Ice Rink, with a free skate session taking place from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM!
It will be a great night in Middletown, so be sure to come out and join us!!
The following road closures will be in effect:North Street between Wickham Avenue and Railroad Avenue closed as of 4:45 PM
West Main Street between North Street and Canal Street closed as of 5:30 PM
Remainder of Parade Route (North Street through James Street/Depot Street) to be closed as 6:00 PM
