Domestic Violence Awareness Month Recognition in Irvington
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The national theme for this year’s #DVAM is once again #Every1KnowsSome1 — because it’s true. We all know someone. That one person might be a friend, a family member, or a co-worker. Domestic violence doesn’t discriminate.
Join the conversation throughout October and beyond as we work together to raise awareness and support survivors. 💜
In Irvington, we are lighting our Village Clock Tower purple from October 16th through October 23rd to stand in solidarity with survivors and to honor their strength and resilience. Keep an eye out for daily information during this week. Community members will be sharing information, resources, and ways you can make a difference.
Together, we can shine a light on this issue and support every 1.
