CityInvites residents to Donate to Local Not-For-Profits on "Giving Tuesday" Dec. 3

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE -

The City of Carbondale would like to acknowledge and give our gratitude to all of the amazing work our not-for-profit organizations put in to uplifting our community, sharing stories and resources, fostering creativity, and empowering one another here in our city.

We invite our community to give back to these various organizations this Holiday season on “Giving Tuesday”, a global generosity movement held on December 3, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Please visit our listing of NFP’s in Carbondale here https://www.explorecarbondale.com/709/Carbondale-Nonprofit-Organizations and if you have the means to do so, donate to any of your choosing.

"The City of Carbondale is proud to recognize the dedicated work of our not-for-profit organizations that bring value to our community. Their efforts in sharing resources, nurturing creativity, and empowering residents are what helps to build a stronger and resilient Carbondale," said Interim City Manager and Police Chief Stan Reno. "This holiday season, we encourage everyone to participate in Giving Tuesday on December 3.  It is an opportunity to give back to those organizations that uplift our community in countless ways. Your support helps Carbondale continue to grow as a place of compassion, creativity, and strength.”

If you are a not-for-profit organization registered with the Illinois Secretary of State and would like to be included on our website, please email Krysty Gray at kgray@carbondaleil.gov with your organization's name.

We thank you all for your contributions to fostering a stronger community here in Carbondale!

“Carbondale prides itself on providing its visitors, students, businesses and residents with a unique mix of edge and ease. It’s a cultural town, yet free of pretense, embracing the great outdoors as readily as urban sophistication. Here, we are open to new ideas, experiences and cultures, so you are encouraged to both express yourself and be yourself, in all ways. That’s Carbondale…All Ways Open…for family, fun, business, new ideas and a bright tomorrow.”
