Non-Emergency Water & Sewer Disconnects and Late Fees/Penalties on Utility Bills to Resume Feb. 8

CARBONDALE -
During the month of January while experiencing extreme winter storms and low temperatures, the City of Carbondale suspended non-emergency Water & Sewer disconnects and issued no late fees or penalties on water & sewer bills.
Now that temperatures have stabilized, The City of Carbondale water office announces that due to the improving weather conditions, normal delinquency processes will resume on Monday, February 8th.
Customers who may be affected are encouraged to review their account status as soon as possible.
Payments can be made in one of the following ways listed below:
Online Payment: Residents can pay utility bills at the City's official website. Online services provide a secure and convenient option for bill payment. https://www.explorecarbondale.com/411/Online-Bill-Pay
Dropbox: A secure dropbox is available at Carbondale City Hall (200 S. Illinois Ave.) for residents to drop off their payments anytime, day or night.
In Person: Residents can pay utility bills in person at the Water Office located at Carbondale City Hall (200 S. Illinois Ave.) during regular business hours (Mon. - Fri. 8am-4:30pm).
