Notice of Special Seasonal Leaf Collection Program
CARBONDALE -
Carbondale's Special Seasonal Leaf Collection Program is offered during November, December, and the first half of January.
Calls for this special service will be accepted from November 3, 2025, through January 30, 2026.
Before calling the Maintenance and Environmental Services Office for pickup, residents desiring this special service should rake their leaves to the edge of the street or curb. Please do not block sidewalks or streets, and refrain from raking leaves into the ditches or gutters.
During the Special Seasonal Leaf Collection Program period, the fee is $25 per collection. The regular fee for this service, outside the special service period, remains $35.
Please call (618) 457-3275 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, to schedule this service.
Be sure to leave both your name & address and identify your request as "loose leaf collection."
The regular Landscape Waste Bag and Bundle program will continue as usual during this Special Collection Period. Those desiring a collection of bagged leaves and grass or bundles of brush may continue to call (618) 457-3275, leave your name and address, and identify your request as "bag and bundle" landscape waste.
For those seeking the alternative to “leave the leaves” through the Winter, take note that you may call to have your leaves collected at any time outside of the Seasonal Leaf Collection Program for the fee of $35. If you rake your leaves to the edge of the street or curb you must call to have them removed to avoid a notice/fine from Building & Neighborhood services. Leaving leaves unraked across your lawn will not result in a notice/fine.
