The City of Starkville Sanitation Department will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025, in observance of Independence Day. Garbage collection will  resume regular schedule, Monday, July 7, 2025 (Monday's garbage only) .

We ask that all garbage be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. to ensure collection.

The Recycling Center will also be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025 , and will reopen for regular operation on Monday, July 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
