City of Gulf Shores Announces Lineup of 40th Anniversary Entertainment Series
Gulf Shores, Ala. – The City of Gulf Shores is celebrating the 40th anniversary of a longstanding Gulf Shores tradition, the Entertainment Series. The 2027 season will also introduce an exciting new venue for the series. All performances will be held at the recently completed Gulf Shores High School Performing Arts Center, located at 21656 Coastal Gateway Boulevard. Shows begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, November 10, at 10 a.m. The new venue offers additional seating options, with tickets starting at $35 each. Coffee and water will be offered at intermission. The 2027 Entertainment Series lineup features:
John Denver Musical Tribute – Ted Vigil
January 25 and 26
Ted is a singer, songwriter, and tribute artist. He was born in Seattle and raised in the Olympia area. He has performed since age ten in school concerts, symphonic, and jazz bands, developing his talents as a drummer and singer.
In 2006, he went to Laughlin, NV, to compete in Talent Quest 2006, which included 28 states, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada, and took first place. He then went on to win Komo TV 4's NW Afternoon Celebrity Look Alike contest, and has played twice for John Denver’s own "Windstar Foundation" in Aspen, CO. Ted cruised the Caribbean with Darryl Worley and Jimmy Wayne on a "Travelin' Inc. country cruise hosted by Great American Country's own Storme Warren. In 2012, Ted was awarded the Rising Legend Award from the National Traditional Country Music Association.
Ted also performed with the late Steve Wiesberg, John Denver’s lead guitar player from 2010 to 2014, who is quoted as saying, "Apparently the audience thinks they all look and sound like John. I don't see it. I see it with Ted. A very strong physical resemblance... Uncanny!" (King 5 Eve News Magazine clip) In 2016, Ted was part of the Kings of Country Tour in Australia, starring Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and John Denver tribute artists touring 20 cities from coast to coast.
Ted now performs internationally for all kinds of venues and events. He has wowed crowds, selling out theatres across the US. The most heard comments after a show are "I can't believe how much he looks and sounds like John Denver! It really took us back!"
Chicago Rewired – The Premier Chicago Tribute Band

Chicago Rewired, The Premier Chicago Tribute Band, is an 8-piece ensemble based in Charlotte, North Carolina, performing nationwide at theaters, casinos, festivals, performing arts centers, and corporate events. Since 2015, the band has faithfully recreated the unmistakable sound of Chicago with powerful vocals, a world-class horn section, and meticulous attention to the legendary group’s iconic arrangements.
Founded by Charlotte drummer Mike Graci, Chicago Rewired was born from a simple idea: audiences deserved more than another cover band. Mike set out to assemble a group of exceptional musicians capable of delivering the energy, precision, and musicianship that made Chicago one of the most successful rock bands of all time. The result is a tribute production dedicated to recreating the excitement and authenticity of the original recordings while capturing the spirit of Chicago’s unforgettable live performances.
Each member of Chicago Rewired brings decades of professional performing experience and a shared passion for the music. The Seven Wonders – A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac

The Seven Wonders are world-class musicians paying homage to the music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. Named after the Fleetwood Mac song “Seven Wonders”, the band's collective performing experience brings the crowd powerful renditions of these timeless tunes. They authentically recreate all the great hits of Fleetwood Mac, including Dreams, Go Your Own Way, Rhiannon, Edge of Seventeen, Landslide, Gypsy, and more. The Seven Wonders’ onstage passion reconnects fans with the music they love.
