City App Retired; Here's How to Stay Connected
The City has received several questions recently about the status of the City of La Marque mobile app. To help keep residents informed, we wanted to provide a quick update.
The City app has been retired and is no longer supported. After reviewing the platform, City leadership determined that restoring and maintaining the app would require a significant investment of time and resources. Instead, those resources have been directed toward communication tools that can reach more residents and be maintained more effectively.
One of those tools is Civic Send, the City's digital newsletter, which launched in August 2026. Subscribers receive updates on City projects, public meetings, service changes, community events and other important news directly in their inboxes. Residents can also browse past editions online.
Although the app is no longer available for download, some Android users who previously installed it may still have access to the application. Because the platform can no longer be updated or maintained, residents are encouraged to delete it from their devices.
Moving forward, cityoflamarque.gov will serve as the City's primary information hub for news, services, agendas, meeting information, public documents and community updates. Residents can also sign up for email and text notifications, subscribe to Civic Send and view past newsletter editions at alerts.cityoflamarque.gov.
We're continuing to improve the way the City shares information and welcomes resident feedback. If you have questions, concerns or suggestions, please contact the Communications Office at pr@cityoflamarque.gov or speak with your City Council representative.
