Repairs Complete, Resume Typical Water Use
Update 10 a.m.
The City’s water treatment capabilities have returned to normal operations this morning after urgent, unscheduled repairs overnight. Pflugerville customers can resume typical water use.
What Happened?
A valve failure required a temporary shutdown of the water treatment plant to make repairs, resulting in water levels in our water storage tanks to lower significantly.
We requested conservation from all water customers this morning as a precaution to help maintain pressure. All repairs are now complete and the water treatment plant is able to meet normal City needs.
Thank you to our diligent water operations staff for working through the night to protect the City's water supply.
Original message:
Due to urgent overnight repairs at the City's water treatment plant, Pflugerville water customers are asked to temporarily reduce water use on Sept. 24. Please turn off sprinkler systems and limit non-essential usage while water equipment is repaired.
Without reduced water use, customers may experience lower water pressure.
Please visit the City of Pflugerville website for updates.
