Pflugerville Alerts: Fifth break in existing raw waterline fixed, continue to conserve

Crews have repaired the fifth break in the City’s existing raw waterline, and water flow to Lake Pflugerville has been restored.

Lake Pflugerville levels will take time to recover, and conservation remains critical. The current lake depth was 17.01 feet as of 3:45 pm on Wednesday, March 18. Stage 3 emergency water restrictions will last at least until the lake reaches 19 feet in depth and sustains that depth for a minimum of three days. The City reported on March 11, 2026, that this could take at least 60 days, but this timeline is dependent on how much Pflugerville water customers conserve, and assuming there are no further issues with the existing raw waterline. With the latest break, this timeline will be reevaluated.

All City of Pflugerville water customers are limited to indoor use only, with the exception of watering home foundations to prevent cracking. Customers must continue conserving water. Turning off taps when not in use and delaying laundry and dishwasher cycles reduces demand on the system and protects essential indoor needs like drinking, cooking and sanitation. If conservation does not continue, further restrictions will be imposed.
