FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CITY WELCOMES NEW PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, DANIEL COXWORTH.

Casa Grande, AZ – The City of Casa Grande is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Coxworth as the new Planning and Development Director. He will officially step into the role on April 9, following the retirement of Paul Tice, who has served with distinction in municipal government, including 15 years in Casa Grande.

As Planning and Development Director, Daniel will oversee the city’s community development initiatives, ensuring thoughtful growth and strategic land use. His responsibilities will include managing development proposals, guiding land use applications, and ensuring compliance with zoning regulations, building codes, and city planning policies. Additionally, he will oversee the Code Enforcement program and play a key role in driving economic development, shaping the future of Casa Grande’s urban landscape.

Daniel brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as the Development Services Director for Cochise County since 2018. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and possesses multiple professional certifications, including American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), and Member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

City Manager Larry Rains expressed his enthusiasm for Daniel’s arrival, stating, “We are excited to welcome Daniel to Casa Grande and look forward to his leadership and vision in the Planning and Development Department. His extensive experience and commitment to municipal service make him an excellent fit for this role.”

As the city welcomes new leadership, it also extends its deepest appreciation to Paul Tice for his dedicated service. Paul’s expertise and leadership have been instrumental in the city’s growth and development. The City of Casa Grande thanks him for his years of hard work and wishes him all the best in his well-earned retirement.
