FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CASA GRANDE WELCOMES NEW MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS DECEMBER 2.

The City of Casa Grande proudly announces its incoming Mayor and City Council members, whose leadership and diverse experiences will guide the community into a bright future. Newly elected Mayor Lisa Fitzgibbons, along with Councilmembers Patrick “Sean” Dugan, Brent BeDillon, and Becca Romo, will officially assume their roles on December 2, 2024.

Mayor Lisa Navarro-Fitzgibbons

Lisa Fitzgibbons, a longtime resident of Casa Grande since the early 1970s, brings a rich background in public service and professional expertise to her new role. Lisa’s professional journey spans prominent organizations such as Xerox Corporation, the Arizona Governor’s Office, and Pepsi-Cola Company. Since 2010, she has served on the Casa Grande City Council, where her leadership has focused on fostering community engagement and economic growth. Mayor Elect Fitzgibbons is the first woman elected as Mayor since 1929.

Her commitment to the community extends beyond public office, with active participation in numerous boards and committees, including the Latino Familia Initiative and the Mayor’s Task Force on Homelessness. Lisa and her husband Denis, along with their children and grandchildren, embody the spirit of Casa Grande’s close-knit community.

“I am honored and excited to step into this role as Mayor of Casa Grande,” Lisa stated. “This city has given so much to me and my family, and I look forward to building a brighter future for all who call Casa Grande home.”

Councilmember Brent BeDillon

Brent BeDillon, a Casa Grande Union High School graduate, brings over two decades of engineering and infrastructure experience to the City Council. Having worked on major construction projects across the U.S. and abroad, Brent offers valuable insights into project management and community development. Brent is also a former chairperson of the Casa Grande Board of Adjustment, where he contributed to city planning and growth. He resides in Casa Grande with his wife, Kelsie, and their blended family of six children.

Councilmember Patrick “Sean” Dugan

A resident of Casa Grande since 1984, Sean Dugan is deeply rooted in the local agricultural community. With a background in dairy farming and custom feed operations, Sean has also demonstrated his dedication to youth development through his founding role in Pinal 40, a charitable organization supporting scholarships and local programs. Sean lives on the family dairy with his wife, Jasmin, and their four children.

Councilmember Becca Romo

A lifelong resident of Casa Grande, Becca Romo has dedicated her career to education and community service. With extensive experience as a teacher and school administrator, Becca has been a champion for Casa Grande’s youth. She has served as an administrator in the Casa Grande School District, and as principal at Cactus Middle School. Her involvement with local committees and as a proud Rotarian underscores her passion for improving the lives of residents. In her free time, Becca enjoys hiking, golfing, and spending time with her family, including her three children.

The newly elected Mayor and City Council members join current sitting City Council members Matt Herman, Anthony Edwards, and Bob Huddleston. The new leadership team is committed to fostering economic growth, enhancing quality of life, and maintaining the strong sense of community that makes Casa Grande unique.
