A fiber installation underneath Broad Street requires the temporary closure of westbound lanes along Broad at the intersection with Metcalf. Public Works crews are on site with the contractor. We expect the road to reopen late this afternoon. Please avoid this intersection if you're headed west on Broad (away from downtown). Traffic is being rerouted to make a right on Metcalf which allows drivers to use New street to reach their destination. Thanks for your patience. We are working to reopen this stretch of busy road as soon as possible.
