Summer Mosquito Treatment starts May 11
The City of Madison would like to notify residents that summer mosquito spraying will begin on Monday, May 11. Drainage ditches will be treated in the afternoon, and mosquito fogging trucks will begin operating at dusk.
You can help reduce mosquito activity by taking a few simple steps:
- Empty or dispose of items that collect water each week, such as trash cans, buckets, old tires, pots, and plant saucers
- Keep gutters free of debris and standing water
- Eliminate standing water around buildings and on flat roofs
- Refresh water in pet dishes daily
