Volunteers Needed to Assist Sutton Apartments Residents Ahead of Freezing Weather
Due to unsafe conditions at Sutton Apartments, community partners are moving quickly to help residents who still need assistance relocating.
Building Church is organizing volunteer efforts to help move remaining residents and is asking for community assistance tomorrow, Thursday, January 22, and Friday, January 23. The goal is to complete these moves as soon as possible, before freezing temperatures move into the area.
How You Can Help
Building Church is seeking:
-
Trucks and trailers for transporting belongings
-
Volunteers able to help lift and move items
-
Extra hands to ensure residents can relocate safely and efficiently
-
If you’re unable to volunteer, please consider donating to Building Church to support their efforts to help relocate affected residents
Any amount of help, whether for a few hours or a full day, will make a meaningful difference for families impacted by this situation.
Why It Matters
With colder weather approaching, time is critical. This volunteer effort helps ensure residents are moved to safer accommodations before temperatures drop, reducing risk and hardship for those affected.
Residents and community members who are able to assist are encouraged to step up and support this urgent effort.
