The Santa Rosa Police Department has closed the 3800 block of Old Redwood Highway, just north of Fountaingrove Parkway, due to a vehicle collision and subsequent fire. The Santa Rosa Fire Department is on scene actively addressing the incident.

As a result, Mendocino Avenue (which becomes Old Redwood Highway) is closed in both directions at Fountaingrove Parkway. Vehicles traveling from Fountaingrove Parkway will only be allowed to proceed southbound on Mendocino Avenue until the roadway is reopened.

There may also be power outages in the area as a result of the incident. PG&E is responding.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes. We will provide an update once the road has been reopened.
