The DUI checkpoint was held at Guerneville Road and Ridley Avenue from 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m.
31 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed and 3 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license, 823 vehicles were contacted, and 7 drivers were evaluated for DUI. 1 driver was cited for operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device. 1 driver was arrested for a felony warrant.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
